Created as a companion pair, Peacetime I & II explore atmosphere, stillness, and shifting coastal light through layered gesture and softened color. Pale aqua, mineral blue, sea-glass green, and softened ivory move across the surface in quiet conversation—suggesting water, weather, distance, and memory without becoming literal.
Built through accumulation, revision, and restraint, the works balance openness with structure. Charcoal, graphite, and oil stick markings drift through the compositions like traces left behind—allowing each painting to unfold gradually over time while remaining connected through tone, rhythm, and atmosphere.
