The Process
Every commission begins with listening. Through conversation, Mary Elizabeth considers the setting, scale, palette, and desired sense of presence, then develops the painting with the same care and integrity that defines every work in her studio practice.
The process is collaborative but artist-led. Rather than replicating an existing painting, each commission becomes a new work that belongs naturally within an established body of work while feeling entirely at home in its intended setting.
