About This Series Echoes in the Wind I, II & III
Created during artist residency, Wild Atlantic Coast, Ireland
Echoes in the Wind is a three-part series conceived and painted during my residency along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Coast—a landscape shaped by relentless weather, exposed rock, and quiet persistence. These works draw directly from native wildflowers, seed dispersal, and the remarkable intelligence of biodiversity that survives—and thrives—in seemingly inhospitable terrain.
Layered color, gestural movement, and intentional mark-making mirror natural systems at work: growth carried by wind, resistance shaped by stone, and renewal unfolding over time. Vivid passages emerge and dissolve, echoing cycles of dispersal and return. Marks are never incidental; each line, scrape, and interruption records a physical dialogue with place, weather, and endurance.
Together, Echoes in the Wind I, II & III function as both individual statements and a unified narrative—an exploration of survivorship, adaptation, and quiet resilience. The series invites sustained viewing, revealing complexity and balance beneath apparent spontaneity.
Designed for collectors and spaces that value depth, movement, and meaning, this series reflects a lived experience of landscape and the poetry of persistence. One-of-one original works, collected slowly and intended to be lived with deeply.
